Winegrowers Supplies
- tank rousers (also known as agitators or mixers)
A tank rouser is an essential tool for professional winemaking; for sugar additions, blending, reducing CO2 etc. All models have 380 volt (3-phase) motors, although some motors can be re-wired easily to run from 230 volt 3-phase, via a simple 1-phase to 3-phase inverter. Rouser motors require the supply to have 5 wires: 3 phases + neutral + earth.
The stainless steel shaft/propeller
is withdrawn through the stainless steel pipe so that the pipe can be pushed through
a Gr.37 Flap-valve and the collar tightened, the propellor/shaft is then pushed back into the tank and locked.
Some models are also available with a fitting to go through a DN40 or DN50 ball-valve.
